Requires basic knowledge of clinical nursing. Must be able to function effectively interacting with patients while performing procedures and techniques required to assist physicians and professional nursing staff.
Listen to daily reports, receive and write up assignments.
Perform and assist with various nursing procedures according to the procedure manual. Assist physicians with treatments or examinations when assigned. Observe treatment and/or service performed by team members or other staff members.
Provide direct nursing care and education to meet the needs of patient population and assist other nursing staff members and department providers in the provision of quality care. Perform administrative duties to maximize department efficiency. Ensure positive customer experience.
The MDS Coordinator RN optimizes and coordinates the RUGS III process as well as MDS for non-Medicare residents. Ensures facility compliance with third party agency regulations with respect to the MDS process. Educates staff on changes to regulations.
Maintain quality clinical care for patients through direct supervision of nursing staff. Assure documentation is complete and accurate. Communicate modification to policy and procedures and oversee compliance. Manage changes in Physician orders. Manage the daily operations of the clinical staff.
